Having trouble updating your computer directly from the Microsoft website? (Their site is notoriously bad for letting you get through their Windows Live Update process.) Try downloading your updates from The Softwarepatch Website. You can also download game patches, as well as other software patches. Content is hosted by Softwarepatch.com, not by the companies that provided the patches.

Training for LEUs

Lynda.com profile log-in: http://www.lynda.com/member.aspx
The Indiana State Library is now offering access to lynda.com training courses, and many
of these courses are approved for LEUs.
For those not familiar with lynda.com, this is an online library of instructional videos
covering software, creative, and business skills. They offer training on Microsoft Office
products, mobile devices such as iPads, as well as web-development topics, the Adobe
creative products, and help with marketing strategies. This really is a wonderful
resource.
In order to take a Lynda.com course for LEU credits, you must first apply to take the
class, using a form on the Indiana State Library website. Once you are given access,
according to Emily Schaber at the State Library, you will then create a lynda.com account
profile. Once you take your online course, you should have access to the LEU certificate,
so you can print it out.
All of the information you need to take advantage of this training opportunity can be
found here:
http://continuinged.isl.in.gov/find-training/lynda-com-courses/
The link to the form to request training is found under the heading "How can I access
lynda.com as a library staff person in Indiana?" Also under this heading is a link to the
full listing of course offerings, which is extensive. If you see a course you'd like to
take for LEU credits, and it is not on the approved list, contact Emily Schaber at the
State Library, and she may be able to approve it. (Her email is below.)
